A Safari Through Wildlife Photography

The Swahili word safari means journey, originally from the Arabic سفر (safar)meaning a journey. Thanks for joining me on my safari!

My name is Byron Grobler, and I am currently working (it really doesn’t feel like work) as a nature field guide in South Africa. Almost everyday, guests and myself are lucky enough to experience nature at it’s finest within the African bushveld. With this comes incredible photographic opportunities as well as an interesting story or two…

This is where I will be telling the stories behind certain photographs, sightings, animals and even the challenges behind the lens while trying to capture it all!
